To run or execute a calibration one should perform the following steps.

  • Determine the calibration reference planes to be established.
  • Specify each of the components that will be required for each calibration in a configuration file.
    • Configure each calibration device (FCM, DCM, SCM, etc) to be used in the configuration file.
    • Configure the switch path from the cal device(s) to the PNA port(s).
    • Configure a calibration type for the reference plane to be established.
    • Configure a PNA to be used during calibration.
      • Including instrument state file (CSA or CST) if desired.
  • Configure a sequence to execute each of the calibrations extending the error terms from one reference plane to the next.
  • Initialize the system using the configuration file.
  • Execute a calibration or execute the complete sequence.
